In an interview with the ‘First Information’ television channel, Aizmont added, ‘The reaction was entirely expected. We might have been surprised if it hadn’t happened or if it had been different, which highlights the West’s concern about what is happening here, regarding our organization. Additionally, it repeatedly confirms to us that we are moving towards the desired goal.’

Aizmont continued, ‘The resolution was adopted. Twenty-seven countries opposed it, and twenty-eight countries abstained from voting. Everyone has already seen the countries that opposed it and those that abstained from voting, and this in itself is extremely significant.’

Aizmont pointed out that Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko is aware of the Western reactions, particularly his participation in these events, as the head of state receives full coverage from all global media every morning.

The organization, established in 2001, is an international entity that includes Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan. It also includes several observer states, such as Afghanistan and Mongolia, and partner countries, including Azerbaijan, Armenia, Cambodia, Nepal, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, and Sri Lanka.
