President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the UAE shared a heartfelt message on Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday.
“On this anniversary of the Prophet’s birth (peace be upon him), we contemplate his lasting legacy of empathy and care for others,” Sheikh Mohamed expressed.
“We pray for God to grant the world stability, unity, and peace.”
The UAE has declared Friday, September 5, as a public holiday to celebrate the Prophet’s birthday for both private and public sector workers.
This holiday, cherished by many around the globe, aligns with the religious event on 12 Rabi Al Awwal of the Hijri calendar.
The announcement allows employees a three-day break as Saturday and Sunday are the standard weekends in the country. In Sharjah, public sector workers already have Fridays off as part of their weekend.
In Dubai, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced free public parking on Friday, excluding multi-level parking and Al Khail Gate Parking (N.365).
