The official statement from FC Barcelona this Friday morning reported that Saudi club Al-Nassr intends to sign Marc Bernal, one of Barcelona’s gems under coach Hans Flick. The website stated that Bernal, who is 18 years old, is expected to become a key midfielder for Barcelona for many years to come. This prompted Al-Nassr to set their sights on signing him before September 23, the deadline for registering young players in the Saudi Roshan League.
It was noted that it is unlikely for the Spanish club Barcelona or the player Marc Bernal himself to agree to negotiate with Al-Nassr for a transfer. It is worth mentioning that Bernal, a defensive midfielder with Barcelona’s first team, played three matches at the beginning of last season before a cruciate ligament injury kept him off the field for some time.
Marc Bernal made his debut in the ‘La Liga’ competition at the Mestalla Stadium in Valencia and did not lose possession of the ball during his 71-minute participation.
