On Monday afternoon, actors Alec and Stephen Baldwin were involved in a car accident.
Shortly after the crash, Alec took to Instagram to share a video explaining the details with his followers.
He mentioned that he and his brother Stephen were in the Hamptons when he accidentally drove his wife Hilaria’s white Range Rover into a tree.
According to Alec, a large garbage truck suddenly cut in front of him, forcing him to swerve to avoid a collision, as reported by Page Six.
He reassured his fans that he was unharmed. You can watch the full video here.
“I wrecked my wife’s car, and I feel terrible about it, but everything is okay,” he said.
“My brother Stephen was visiting, and we spent the weekend at the film festival,” he added, referring to the Hamptons International Film Festival.
“This morning, I was in an accident. A massive garbage truck cut me off,” he explained. “It was the biggest garbage truck I’d ever seen, and to avoid it, I ended up hitting a tree, severely damaging my wife’s car.”
He expressed remorse for the damage to Hilaria’s vehicle.
“I wrecked my wife’s car and feel bad about it,” he said. “But we’re all fine, my brother and I are okay.”
Alec’s brother Stephen is also an actor.
