The ministry clarified in its statement that the concerned police officer was summoned, and he denied the validity of these allegations. The examination proved that the officer searched the passengers in a normal manner on 1/8/2025, as the individual was asked to deposit his personal belongings in the designated box for X-ray inspection as part of routine procedures and within a short period of time. Surveillance cameras at the airport confirmed the falsity of his claims.
The Egyptian Ministry of Interior explained that “the account that published the video was created on 18/9/2025 only and contained another clip showing customs officials at Cairo International Airport while sitting,” describing them as devils and violators of Islamic law without justification, reflecting a deliberate intention to harm the Cairo International Airport system.
The ministry confirmed that all legal measures have been taken against the person responsible for disseminating these allegations.
