Washington – Sputnik. Trump told reporters on Tuesday that Vance could be the party’s candidate, “I think he is, quite frankly, the frontrunner. He’s the Vice President.” He added, “I think Marco Rubio (the Secretary of State) might also coordinate with JD in some way.” Trump continued, “It’s very early, of course, to talk about it, but certainly, he [Vance] is doing a great job and would be the frontrunner at this stage.” Polls showed that Vance has the support of 46% of likely Republican voters, while Rubio received only 12%, enhancing Vance’s position as the strongest candidate so far. However, Donald Trump Jr., the President’s son, remains another potential candidate who could pose a challenge, especially with his strong support from Trump’s fan base.
