Ansar Allah Escalates Attacks Amid Israeli Raids

The military spokesman for ‘Ansar Allah’, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, stated that the multi-warhead ballistic missile ‘Palestine 2’ targeted several sensitive sites in the occupied area of Jaffa. Saree explained that the drone air force carried out a qualitative military operation with two drones targeting two vital sites in the Umm al-Rashrash area in southern Palestine, noting that the operation ‘achieved its goal and caused millions to flee to shelters.’

Earlier, the leader of the Yemeni group ‘Ansar Allah’ (Houthis), Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, confirmed that the recent Israeli raids on the capital Sanaa, which resulted in the death and injury of 216 people, will not affect their continued attacks against Israel. In a televised speech broadcast by the ‘Al-Masirah’ channel on the anniversary of the assassination of the former Secretary-General of ‘Hezbollah’ in Lebanon, Hassan Nasrallah, al-Houthi said: ‘The targeting of the Israeli enemy at a correctional facility belonging to the security and intelligence apparatus is a failed step and will not affect our people’s stance,’ vowing to escalate attacks on Israel.

He added, ‘We are steadfast, and our stance is ongoing and escalating in support of the Palestinian people and standing with all the free people of our nation.’ Al-Houthi linked the raids on Sanaa to the attacks carried out by his group on targets in Israel since late 2023, affirming that ‘Hezbollah is not alone and will not be left alone, but is part of the resistance axis.’ He also considered that the calls to disarm the resistance in Lebanon and Palestine, as well as targeting Iranian missiles, are part of an ‘American-Israeli demand’ aiming to weaken the forces in the region.

‘Ansar Allah’ had earlier announced last Thursday that the attacks on residential neighborhoods and security and military sites in Sanaa resulted in 11 deaths and 205 injuries, most of them women and children. The Israeli bombing came one day after the group announced targeting sites in Eilat and Be’er Sheva with drones, as part of what it described as the ‘fourth stage of the naval blockade on Israel,’ threatening to attack ships dealing with Israeli ports ‘regardless of their nationality.’

Since November 2023, ‘Ansar Allah’ has been launching continuous attacks on Israel and the ships associated with it and the United States and Britain in the Red Sea, in response to the Israeli war in the Gaza Strip. Despite the group reaching a ceasefire agreement with Washington in May, they confirmed that operations against Israel are ‘outside the framework of the agreement.’
