During his meeting with the delegation from the Arab Open University, Aoun pointed out that “without the sacrifices and constant vigilance of the army in protecting citizens and preserving the Lebanese society with all its components, Lebanon would not have been able to regain its security and stability.” He called, in this context, for a halt to any attempts to undermine the military institution or security forces, emphasizing that they are a red line, according to a statement from the Lebanese presidency.
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun also stressed that “the army and security forces work in complete harmony and coordination in confronting terrorism, organized crime, and drug smuggling operations, and they carry out their national duties with full commitment and responsibility.”
