Minsk – The press center of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: “Today, Wojciech Filimonowicz, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in the Republic of Belarus, was summoned to the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for an extensive discussion on the current state of Belarusian-Polish relations.” The statement noted that details of this conversation will be announced later.

It is worth mentioning that Poland decided to completely close its borders with Belarus, including car and railway checkpoints, in conjunction with the Russian-Belarusian military exercises “West – 2025”, which took place from September 12 to 16.

Commenting on this, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said: “It is clear that the confrontational steps taken by the Polish leadership are aimed at justifying a policy of escalating tensions in the heart of Europe,” noting that “the measures taken by Poland will cause severe damage to its international partners who use the Polish-Belarusian border for trade.”
