The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the date for Board exams for Grades 10 and 12.
The body stated that in the year 2026, the major examinations will commence on February 17, 2026. According to earlier announcements, two Board examinations will be held for Class X as per the recommendations made in NEP-2020.
The authority has mentioned that the following criteria have been considered while finalizing the date of the exams:
– A sufficient gap has been provided between two subjects generally offered by a student in both classes.
– The date for conducting entrance examinations for Class XII students has been taken into account, and efforts have been made to complete the examinations well before the entrance exams. This will aid students in better time management for both Board and entrance exams.
– During evaluation, teachers of all subjects will not be away from their schools simultaneously or for an extended period.
– The date sheet has been prepared by avoiding more than 40,000 subject combinations to ensure that no two subjects’ exams taken by a student fall on the same date.
– The examination start time will be at 10:30 am IST (9 am UAE time).
