The Central Board of Secondary Education has revealed the dates for the Board exams for Grades 10 and 12.
According to the announcement, major exams in 2026 will begin on February 17. Following NEP-2020 guidelines, two Board exams will be held for Class X.
The following criteria were considered in finalizing the exam dates:
1. Adequate gaps between subjects commonly chosen by students in both classes are ensured.
2. Dates of Class XII entrance exams were considered, aiming to finish Board exams well before these to aid students in time management.
3. During evaluation, teachers from all subjects will not be absent from school simultaneously or for long periods.
4. Over 40,000 subject combinations were considered to avoid scheduling conflicts for students.
5. Exams will start at 10:30 am IST (9:00 am UAE time).
