The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has taken legal and administrative action against more than 5,400 establishments for violating labor regulations in the first half of 2025. Some cases were referred to the Public Prosecution, depending on the severity of the violations, which included unpaid wages, participation in ‘Fake Emiratisation’ schemes, operating beyond licensed activities, and registering workers without genuine employment contracts.
The actions followed roughly 285,000 inspection visits to registered establishments, part of MoHRE’s ongoing efforts to regulate the labor market and boost its competitiveness and efficiency.
MoHRE said the violations were detected through a combination of field inspections and digital monitoring systems, which provide detailed information on each establishment’s status.
