Top Emirati politician and advisor to the UAE President, Dr. Anwar Gargash, expressed the UAE’s firm support for Qatar after an Israeli strike on Hamas leaders in Doha.
“The security of the Arab Gulf states is indivisible, and we stand heart and soul with the sisterly State of Qatar, condemning the treacherous Israeli attack that targeted it, and affirming our full solidarity with it in confronting this aggression,” Gargash said on Tuesday.
“May God preserve Qatar, its leadership and people, and may God preserve the Arab Gulf states,” he added.

The country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs also expressed his support for Qatar. “Full solidarity with our dear Qatar,” said Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
These remarks came after Israel launched a strike on Tuesday targeting Hamas leaders in Doha. Several blasts were heard in the Qatari capital late Tuesday afternoon, Reuters witnesses reported.
Israeli media, citing a senior Israeli official, said the attack was aimed at top Hamas leaders including Khalil al-Hayya, its Gaza chief.
