Aligning with UAE Vision 2031 to bolster global sports leadership, AMH Sports has announced the acquisition and launch of the Aspin Stallions, marking the first Emirati-owned franchise in the esteemed Abu Dhabi T10 League.
This pivotal announcement marks a significant milestone in the UAE’s sports history, embodying national pride, innovation, and global cooperation.
The Aspin Stallions, owned by Ahmad Khoori, a UAE Federal National Council member and former Emirates Airlines Senior Vice President, represent a groundbreaking moment for Emirati involvement in international franchise sports.
Under AMH Sports, the franchise aims to elevate standards in sporting excellence, community involvement, and youth development throughout the UAE.
“The UAE continues to pave the way for progress, inclusivity, and excellence across all fields — sports included,” Khoori stated.
“The Aspin Stallions reflect the UAE’s aspiration not just to participate but to lead globally. This venture underscores our dedication to youth empowerment, global cooperation, and the sportsmanship that defines our country.”
The UAE shares a long-standing friendship with India, home to a massive cricket fan base. With over 9 million expatriates in the UAE, half of whom are cricket enthusiasts, this initiative bridges two nations united by sport.
Through the Aspin Stallions, AMH Sports aims to honor this shared love for cricket, celebrating the UAE’s diversity and the spirit of the sport that binds both countries.
The success of the Abu Dhabi T10 is a tribute to Shaji Ul Mulk, Founder and Chairman of the League, whose vision has revolutionized cricket entertainment, positioning the UAE as a central hub for world cricket.
“We welcome the Aspin Stallions as the first Emirati-owned franchise in the league. This is a proud moment for both Abu Dhabi T10 and the UAE’s sports ecosystem,” Mulk commented. “It highlights the UAE’s burgeoning status as a global sports destination and enhances the spirit of international partnership.”
The Abu Dhabi T10 League, the only ICC-sanctioned ten-over international cricket league, is licensed by the Emirates Cricket Board. It has gained global popularity, drawing star players and audiences from around the world. The tournament is held annually at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi, with support from the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and Abu Dhabi Tourism.
