The journalist analyst Jaida Karan commented to ‘Sputnik’ radio that the West and Ukraine’s allies are suffering a field defeat due to their failure to implement the Minsk agreements. She pointed out that US President Donald Trump, who seeks economic cooperation, faces the challenge of managing this failure, emphasizing the importance of the Alaska summit as a crucial opportunity to find solutions.
Meanwhile, the Turkish historian and political analyst Mehmet Perinçek told ‘Sputnik’ that holding the Alaska summit itself is an important indicator, noting that globalists and extremists worldwide have attempted to prevent any rapprochement between America and Russia, even on simple issues related to Ukraine, using provocations to hinder it.
He explained that choosing Alaska instead of Rome or Switzerland as the summit location reinforces this indicator, suggesting the gradual waning of Europe’s influence in the near future.
‘Sputnik’ correspondent stated: ‘The talks in Alaska have begun, and the meeting started in a small format.’ Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in the United States today, Friday, to meet with US President Donald Trump at the ‘Elmendorf-Richardson’ military base in Alaska. The two sides first hold an individual meeting, followed by a meeting with the delegations.
