Ayni Gold Launches Limited Retail Access

Ayni Gold, a crypto initiative tied to gold processing in Peru, is gearing up to offer limited retail access by month’s end, as stated by CTO Daniel C. Tschinkel. This retail phase will run alongside current OTC allocations, with participation starting at around $100, subject to jurisdictional limits and KYC checks.

This announcement comes as gold prices near historic highs, driven by global demand for safe assets and rising interest in tokenized commodities. Recently, gold has gained momentum due to geopolitical uncertainty, ongoing inflation, and central bank gold acquisitions, boosting mining sector margins and sparking discussions on blockchain’s role in gold investments.

Unlike tokens backed by vault receipts or unmined reserves, Ayni Gold offers tokenized mining capacity, linking blockchain participation directly to processing throughput instead of physical gold. Each AYNI token represents a fixed share of the project’s capacity, measured in cubic meters per hour (m³/h), providing a transparent metric for participants.

The project partners with Minerales San Hilario, a licensed Peruvian mining firm with verified reserves and production history. For transparency, Ayni has commissioned an independent scoping study, a third-party audit, and maintains regular on-chain reporting of token issuance and production data, enabling participants to track progress through blockchain and traditional reports.

Ayni’s model centers on predictability: as tokens are linked to processing capacity, rising gold prices could impact returns. Moreover, 15% of project revenue is allocated to buyback and burn mechanisms, subject to operational and market conditions.

Distributions and Structure

Staking participants receive PAXG-denominated distributions from smart contracts, allowing them to earn rewards tied to global gold prices, avoiding AYNI’s market value fluctuations. By using PAXG for rewards instead of more AYNI tokens, the model minimizes volatility, providing a familiar reference for traditional commodity investors. Staking is optional, with rewards varying based on mining performance and operating costs.
