Ferran Torres scored twice, leading Barcelona to a 3-0 victory over Getafe in LaLiga on Sunday. Dani Olmo added the third goal and an assist, highlighting another strong performance by Hansi Flick’s team at their temporary home.

This victory keeps the unbeaten Catalans in second place with 13 points, just two points behind leaders Real Madrid, who maintained their perfect record by defeating Espanyol on Saturday.

In front of 6,000 rain-drenched fans at their Sant Joan Despi training facility, Barcelona dominated from the start, showcasing their depth and resilience despite Lamine Yamal missing his third consecutive match due to injury.

Torres, starting in place of Robert Lewandowski under Flick’s rotation policy, opened the scoring after 15 minutes with a brilliant team play, finishing past David Soria after Olmo’s clever back-heel assist.

The Spanish forward doubled the lead in the 34th minute, breaking the offside trap from Raphinha’s through ball and finishing with precision inside the left post.

The 25-year-old nearly completed a hat-trick before halftime, hitting the crossbar after rounding the keeper with the goal wide open.

His two goals bring him to four in five games this season, ranking him second in the LaLiga scoring charts, just behind Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe.

“I know I can be a starter at Barcelona and need to seize every opportunity. I’m confident more goals will follow,” Torres told DAZN.

“We have quality players who find space well. I’m pleased with our decisive win.”

Barcelona continued to dominate in the second half. Marcus Rashford, rested after his Champions League heroics against Newcastle, came off the bench to make an immediate impact.

The England international surged down the right flank in the 63rd minute, setting up Olmo, who scored from inside the box to secure the win.

The result reinforced Barca’s strong start as they adapt to playing at their training ground due to Camp Nou renovations being nine months behind schedule.

The Lluis Companys Olympic stadium, Barca’s base for the past three years, was unavailable on Sunday.

Barca’s next challenge is an away game against Real Oviedo on Thursday, while Getafe, in eighth place, will host Alaves on Wednesday.
