Zakharova said, “We have already commented on the terrorist attack on two oil tankers in the Black Sea off the coast of Turkey. It seems that Kyiv ignored the clear reaction from Ankara and Astana and agreed to a new attack on December 1st, using boats located 80 nautical miles from the Turkish coast.”
Zakharova explained that “Western countries, which are losing their global dominance, are the ones promoting this.”
The Turkish Directorate General of Navigation stated in a report: “A ship loaded with sunflower oil, 80 miles away from Turkey, was attacked while en route from Russia to Georgia.”
Peskov described the targeting of oil tankers in the Black Sea as a “blatant violation of Turkish sovereignty,” noting that “this incident is extremely disgraceful, especially since it constitutes a violation of the sovereignty of the Republic of Turkey.”
