CIOs and IT leaders face relentless pressure to upgrade legacy apps, posing a significant challenge. Low-code firms boost efficiency significantly, an expert noted.
“In nearly every enterprise, there’s a substantial backlog of unmet business requirements. This backlog makes time-to-market crucial, and traditional development methods fail to keep up. Enterprises are turning to low-code and platforms like Kissflow because tasks that once took months now only take weeks,” explained Prasanna Rajendran, Vice-President, EMEA, Kissflow.
Kissflow stands out from other platforms in terms of time-to-market speed. Its simplicity, paired with sophistication, accelerates digital transformation. Another advantage is cost efficiency. Traditional development needs large teams, but low-code solutions like Kissflow reduce these costs significantly, he added.
Kissflow solutions have delivered substantial returns on investment. “A leading FC customer achieved a 450% ROI during their agreement. This was due to three factors: eliminating costs related to infrastructure and its support, redeploying personnel into strategic projects, and improving productivity and efficiency by about 10%. Such outcomes are among the highest we’ve seen. Customers typically see returns within 8 to 15 months, depending on project size and scope,” Rajendran stated.
What differentiates Kissflow is its centricity. “It’s simple yet sophisticated. You can build simple or complex applications. Some clients have implemented complex processes like loan origination in banking, involving numerous parameters and validations. Others use it for comprehensive property management. The platform supports both simple and complex use cases,” Rajendran explained.
The rise of AI suggests that the era of coders is declining, giving way to prompters. Consequently, team structures have evolved from solely technical to a mix of technical and functional members. “Prompting is the new language. Business users, familiar with their needs but lacking technical skills, can now build applications themselves. Prompting enables smaller, mixed teams, allowing business people to contribute without constant IT reliance,” Rajendran said.
About 35 to 40% of Kissflow customers are from its home market. The next largest is APAC, including Southeast Asia, followed by India, the Middle East, and other regions. “We’re seeing consistent growth across all regions. The Middle East has been particularly strong for us in the past two years, with growth in real estate, retail, and FMCG. We’re now focusing on oil and gas in the UAE and KSA. On the product side, we’re enhancing AI capabilities, including autonomous agents for smarter platforms,” Rajendran shared.
Kissflow is progressing towards Agentic AI. “With this agent, you’ll only define the outcome, and the agent will manage the process,” Rajendran said.
Kissflow currently has around 600 enterprise customers, mainly large organizations, aiming to expand further in the enterprise sector, Rajendran stated.
Kevin Neogy, Group Head – Digital Transformation, AI & Robotics, Kanoo Group, said: “We appreciate Kissflow’s approach: enabling companies like ours to succeed independently. We sought a platform providing tools for self-sufficiency, as we know our business best. Many employees have decades of experience and understand our processes thoroughly. We didn’t want to rely on external professional services. With current tools, especially AI, it’s easier for business owners and teams to lead their own transformation, addressing specific issues directly. This approach accelerates transformation, ensures strong business buy-in, reduces change resistance, and ultimately delivers faster ROI.”
