BITS Pilani Dubai Campus (BPDC) has recorded its highest-ever growth in admissions with the Class of 2025, marking a new era of student diversity and academic achievement. This year’s cohort showcases unparalleled cultural, academic, and geographic diversity, with nearly 67% of students arriving from outside the UAE, representing 11 countries from Asia, Africa, and the Gulf.

With students from India, Singapore, Cyprus, Nigeria, Rwanda, Thailand, Pakistan, and several Gulf countries, this diverse group reinforces BPDC’s status as a global educational hub. The campus continues to attract top students, aligning with the UAE’s vision to become a leading center for talent and innovation.

The 2025–26 admissions cycle witnessed a 62% increase in First-Degree admissions in engineering and business, along with a 180% rise in Higher-Degree enrollments — the highest in the university’s history. The new Department of Management Studies also played a role in this growth, with MBA admissions soaring by 245%.

Prof. Souri Banerjee, director of BPDC, stated: “This record-breaking year reflects the growing confidence in BPDC’s vision to develop future-ready leaders and innovators. The increase in admissions across engineering, science, and management underscores our dedication to providing world-class education in Dubai.”

“The Class of 2025 is made up of high-achieving students pursuing studies in Biotechnology, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Electronics, Business, and more, ensuring a vibrant academic and cultural atmosphere on campus. From science labs to student clubs, they infuse fresh energy into research, leadership, and extracurricular life at BPDC,” noted Prof. R. Swarnalatha, associate dean of admissions and marketing.

Nahid Afshan, head of Admissions, added: “We are thrilled to have surpassed all previous admission records this year, welcoming one of our most diverse and ambitious cohorts. In response to the UAE’s swiftly changing business landscape and the growing demand for skilled professionals in technology and management, we implemented a more proactive and targeted outreach strategy. This included representing BITS Pilani at over 100 student-focused events — from educational summits and career fairs to university expos and school exhibitions — along with international outreach across the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.”

With world-class engineering labs, interdisciplinary research centers, and collaborations with global industry leaders, BPDC is preparing the next wave of engineers and technologists to drive the UAE’s innovation agenda.
