The spokesperson for the ministry, Zaki Ak Turk, stated today, Thursday, in a press conference, that there is a continuation of ‘brutal atrocities’ in the Gaza Strip, targeting children, women, and the elderly, leading to their starvation to death. He accused it of committing ‘genocide’ that ignores the most important human values in front of the world, according to the Anadolu Agency.
The spokesperson emphasized the need for increased international pressure on Israel to ensure an immediate ceasefire and to take concrete steps towards achieving a just and lasting peace based on a two-state solution.
It is noted that the plan to control the city involves forcibly displacing about one million Palestinians to the south of the Strip, a situation that has led to widespread international criticism of Israel, which continues its preparations to implement the plan despite all warnings.
The residents of the Gaza Strip suffer from unprecedented levels of hunger, with UN organizations warning of the spread of famine and an increase in deaths due to malnutrition, especially among children, patients, and people with disabilities.
From October 7, 2023, to August 21, 2025, the war on Gaza caused the death of about 62,000 Palestinians, along with approximately 157,000 injured, according to data from the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the Russian presidency, Dmitry Peskov, expressed Moscow’s concern about the escalation of the situation in the Gaza Strip and the fall of civilian casualties, confirming that Moscow is closely monitoring the situation and looks forward to returning to the path of peace.
