The online source ‘Al-Youm Al-Sabaa’ confirmed on Wednesday evening that Cairo Airport Company announced full control over a minor fire that occurred in a kitchen of one of the lounges at Terminal 2 while preparing some food. The site reported that ‘in light of smoke rising from a kitchen of one of the lounges at Terminal 2 during the preparation of some food, the situation was immediately controlled without any damage or harm, except for the emission of some smoke.’
The Egyptian company assured that the operational movement at Terminal 2 and all departure and arrival halls at the airport is proceeding normally and without any impact, with full adherence to implementation within various facilities.
The company emphasized that it uses the latest firefighting and early warning systems to ensure a quick response to any emergency situations.
