The first edition of Care — Climate Action, Renewable Energy, and Sustainability by Trescon is poised to be the MENA region’s premier platform for sustainable investment and climate innovation. This forum will gather leaders from around the world who are spearheading the Middle East’s clean energy transition. Scheduled alongside Date, a Digitisation, AI, and Emerging Tech Summit, Care Mena will be held on November 26-27 at the renowned Madinat Jumeirah.

“With the GCC investing billions in renewable infrastructure, Care Mena provides an unparalleled, action-focused platform that merges capital with climate aspirations,” stated Naveen Bharadwaj, group CEO of Trescon. He added: “From solar and hydrogen to green finance and industrial decarbonization, the series will highlight investable opportunities that align with net-zero objectives and promote regional climate action.”

Jens Y. Zimmermann, president of Orios Venture Partners, expressed: “I’m eager to attend Care and learn about the latest developments, trends, and investment prospects in climate and renewable energy.”

For start-ups, scale-ups, and climate tech ventures, Care Mena serves as a springboard and a prime opportunity for securing investments.

“I’m excited about CARE as a platform for discovering investment opportunities in climate tech and renewables,” remarked Kevin Holliday, CEO of Venturebeam. Ahmed Refaie, CEO and Global CIO of G.P.I. Global Partners Investments Limited, noted: “Care provides a platform for climate finance and investment experts to deploy capital in environmentally impactful and responsible ways.”

Participants seeking Series A investment, strategic partnerships, or market access will have direct exposure to venture capital firms, institutional investors, family offices, and sovereign funds. Supported by some of the region’s leading investors — including the Royal Group, Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), ARM Holding, Venturesouq, Plug and Play, among others — Care Mena is set to ignite meaningful collaborations.

Discussing CARE’s opportunities, Sofia Kostiunina, managing director of 100VP, commented: “From a VC perspective, I see Care as an excellent platform to discover breakthrough opportunities in renewable energy and climate tech.”

Key initiatives include:

  • ClimateTech World Cup: A global startup competition highlighting innovative sustainability solutions and connecting founders with investors, corporates, and media.

  • Care Launchpad: A platform for showcasing disruptive applications, research, and whitepapers to inspire funding, influence, and collaboration.

  • Care Innovation Programme: An international pitch competition showcasing student-led sustainable innovations addressing real-world climate challenges.

The Care ESG Awards, hosted by Trescon and supported by ESG Mena, will honor the “Responsible Investor of the Year” and the “Young Sustainability Pioneer of the Year.” Summit sessions will delve into regulatory reform, capital flows, and technology deployment, focusing on commercial viability and regional scalability. With the support of sponsors like Emtribe, Cero Hero, Enjazponic, S&P Global, and others, Care Mena will feature investor roundtables, pitch sessions, and partnership forums, ensuring that discussions result in commitments.

For founders, it’s a chance to pitch to decision-makers. For corporates, it’s a front-row seat to the next wave of green innovation. And for investors, it’s access to the region’s most promising ventures and infrastructure projects.
