Local sources reported that the International Red Cross teams transported the prisoners directly to the hospital to provide medical care and conduct necessary examinations, according to the Palestinian Media Center.

The sources added that they arrived in critical health conditions due to what they described as “exposure to torture, humiliation, and deprivation of food during their detention.”

The ceasefire agreement between Israel and the movement in the Gaza Strip came into effect on October 10th. As part of this, Hamas released 20 prisoners who had been held in Gaza since October 7, 2023, thus freeing all remaining hostages.

In response, Israel released about 2000 Palestinian prisoners, including those serving life sentences. The Palestinian side has returned the bodies of 24 hostages whose identities have been confirmed. According to Israeli data, there are four more bodies of deceased hostages in Gaza.
