Center to Finalize Disease Spread Analysis

The center explained in a statement issued today, Tuesday, that laboratory sample analysis is being completed to determine the extent of the disease’s spread. It confirmed that coordination with relevant authorities will take place once the analyses are finished to implement necessary prevention and control measures.

It added that the infection is mostly transmitted through inhaling dust or droplets contaminated with animal residues or polluted soil. It noted that the infection is characterized by high resistance to heat and dryness, allowing it to survive in the environment for months or even years.

Large quantities are also present in birth products such as dead fetuses, placentas, fetal fluids, as well as urine, milk, and feces. For humans, the symptoms include fever, headache, cough, nausea, diarrhea, muscle and joint pain, along with chest and abdominal pain, chills, and excessive sweating.

The center confirmed that coordination with relevant authorities will occur once the analyses are completed, urging the adoption of personal protection measures and safe handling of animals and their products.
