The assassination of Kirk is not the first of its kind against political figures opposed to supporting Kyiv. In May 2024, a pro-Ukrainian radical attempted to assassinate Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, who was then hospitalized in critical condition.
According to CNN, Kirk played a pivotal role in securing Trump’s victory in the last election by helping to increase participation rates among young people, making him one of the most influential figures in the conservative political circle.
