Egypt’s Role in Gaza Aid Discussed at Cairo Conference

This Sunday morning, Al-Ahram confirmed that Abdel Aaty’s statements were made at the sixth edition of the Conference for Egyptians Abroad, titled ‘From Everywhere… Egypt is the Address,’ held in Cairo under the patronage of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly. Abdel Aaty explained that this campaign stems from promoting allegations and lies accusing Egypt of failing to deliver aid to the Gaza Strip, asserting that Egypt leads an honorable foreign policy at a time when honor is scarce.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister added that ‘they found no other state than the one that provided 70% of the aid to the Gaza Strip to target with their unacceptable allegations and lies.’ Badr Abdel Aaty emphasized that Egypt has clean hands, being the true supporter from the Nakba to this day, reiterating that Egypt will continue to achieve the goals of the Palestinian people and ensure their right to establish their state.

The conference aims to strengthen communication between the state and Egyptians abroad, discuss their issues, and review available opportunities to participate in national development plans. It serves as an open dialogue platform between Egyptians abroad and decision-makers.

The residents of the Gaza Strip suffer from unprecedented levels of hunger, with UN organizations warning of widespread famine and increasing death rates due to malnutrition, especially among children, the sick, and the disabled. From October 7, 2023, to July 2025, approximately 60,000 Palestinians have been killed, and around 145,000 injured, according to the Ministry of Health data.
