Clashes and Tensions in Syria: Latest Developments

The media center of the ‘SDF’ forces stated in a statement: ‘At exactly three o’clock on Monday morning, in the village of Imam in the Deir Hafer area, our forces dealt with the attack and responded appropriately, defending their positions and fighters, where clashes continued for 20 consecutive minutes.’ Earlier today, local sources revealed to the media that Washington is exerting pressure following recent developments that saw the return of clashes between the parties.

This comes amidst escalating tensions in the Syrian arena, particularly the recent developments in As-Suwayda and Manbij, which have resulted in hundreds of deaths and injuries. Meanwhile, the Syrian Ministry of Defense and the Syrian Democratic Forces exchange accusations regarding the attack in the city of Manbij, northern Syria.

The SANA agency reported that the Ministry of Defense accused the ‘SDF’ of launching a missile attack on an army position in the city’s countryside, injuring four army personnel and three civilians. The ‘SDF’ had signed an agreement last March to join Syrian state institutions, without specifying how to integrate the ‘SDF’ forces with the Syrian army, where the ‘SDF’ wants to join as a single bloc, while Damascus wants them to join as individuals.
