The organizer of the festival, artist Hamza Bounoua, told Sputnik in an exclusive interview: “This year’s exhibition differs from previous years. In the past, it was a collective exhibition with accompanying events, while today it is part of a new strategy involving participation from both inside and outside Algeria. This edition includes 29 international galleries.

Bounoua noted the increasing interest of young people in contemporary art, highlighting the attraction of art gallery owners and talented youth who will find contracts and partnerships that help them achieve true professionalism. He added, “We lacked a strategy, but today we are trying to find projects through which the artist can succeed.”

According to Abdul Moula, “The greatest contributions of civilizations have been in art, which is a living entity that feeds, lives, changes, and changes its tools.” He continued, “Recently, we have been talking a lot about how the inclusion of art in history is due to Western influence, but today it has changed compared to what preceded it.”

Sonia Bouzidi, a student in contemporary fine art and a participant in the exhibition, told Sputnik that this is her “first participation in the exhibition.” She explained that “the first painting expresses the boundaries that humans create for themselves, preventing them from reaching goals, while the second painting represents the boundaries humans create to protect themselves from the outside world.” She hopes that “these paintings will be displayed in international exhibitions.”
