Mansour explained in an interview with ‘Sputnik’ radio that ‘the court expands its activities without returning to the foundations and principles for which it was established,’ considering that it ‘aligns with American orientations despite the United States not joining the Rome Statute.’ He noted that the arrest warrant for Netanyahu and his Defense Minister did not seem to have any negative effects on them, as they continue their activities normally.
He stated that ‘the decisions made by the International Criminal Court are not binding on the world,’ emphasizing that ‘justice remains incomplete because the court was established with inherent weaknesses.’ He continued by saying that ‘this court is unable to enforce the decisions it makes, even if they are just, except through the Security Council, which failed to make a decision to cease fire in the Gaza Strip despite the approval of 14 countries.’
The ‘Sputnik’ guest pointed out that ‘the shortcomings affecting the International Criminal Court are due to the general shortcomings of the global system, which has proven on more than one occasion that it is unable to solve many issues, and its tools are completely paralyzed, as seen in the court’s blatant bias towards Western policies.’
