The ministry stated in its announcement that the Minister of Industry, Morten Bødskov, symbolically laid the foundation stone in the city of Vojens, with the participation of Haderslev Mayor Mads Skau and the new director of Fire Point, Viacheslav Bondarchuk. According to the Danish channel ‘DR,’ the facility will be named ‘FPRT.’ Bondarchuk stated that the fuel produced in the factory will be used in missiles and drones operating on the Ukrainian front. He assured that the factory poses no danger to the local population.
On September 9, the Danish Parliament passed a law allowing the Minister of Defense to expedite the construction of military facilities by bypassing laws and conditions that might hinder project implementation.
