Diver Survives 9 Meters Underwater in Cave

The ‘South China Morning Post’ reported that on July 19, a 40-year-old diver named Wang from Hunan Province in central China went missing just five minutes after diving with a friend in a river. Rescuers quickly launched a search operation, but the initial search was unsuccessful.

The man survived by resorting to an air pocket in the cave, which allowed him to breathe, despite being nine meters underwater. Later, the surviving diver, Wang, stated that he accidentally entered the cave, completely losing track of time and surviving by eating raw fish.

The newspaper indicates that after the rescue, Wang was in good condition and even walked to the ambulance on his own.
