For the first time, attendees of the Dubai Airshow 2025 will witness electric air taxis taking off as part of the aerial display, providing a preview of future urban commuting once these vehicles become commonplace.
The live eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) showcases come as the Dubai Airshow gears up for its most ambitious edition, featuring over 200 aircraft in both flight and static displays. This represents the event’s largest lineup ever, covering commercial, private, and military sectors.
Organizers emphasize that the introduction of air taxis highlights the Airshow’s broadened emphasis on Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), which brings together global pioneers in electric propulsion, automated flight systems, and innovative air traffic solutions for on-demand urban flights.

Tim Hawes, Managing Director at Informa Markets, noted that featuring eVTOLs “is about more than just showcasing aircraft; it’s about illustrating what’s achievable when vision, technology, and collaboration intersect.”
This year, several aircraft will make their debut at the Dubai Airshow. Notable mentions include China’s COMAC C919 and C929, Embraer’s KC-390 Millennium, along with the Airbus A350-1000 and Boeing 777-219ER.
The Dubai Airshow 2025 will be held from November 17 to 21 at Dubai World Central, attracting over 1,500 exhibitors, 490 delegations, and 350 speakers from almost 100 countries.
