Dubai Police received accolades from a renowned Indian YouTuber for their prompt recovery and return of his lost iPhone, all at no cost.
Madan Gowri, a Tamil content creator with more than eight million subscribers on YouTube, recounted his experience in a viral video. Gowri mentioned losing his phone last week while boarding a flight to Chennai at Dubai International Airport.
“I noticed my phone was missing once I boarded the plane,” the 32-year-old explained in the video. “The cabin crew advised me to send an email with details later. Although I had little hope, I still emailed them after landing.”

Gowri reported that Dubai Police responded swiftly, requesting a description and identification details of the phone. “The speed of their response amazed me. They informed me shortly after that my phone was found. Upon confirming it was mine, they sent it back on the next flight at no charge,” he noted.

The YouTuber’s story has gained widespread attention, with many followers praising the efficiency and professionalism of Dubai Police. He described the entire process as “simple and incredibly fast,” noting that the authorities exceeded his expectations.

Just last month, a British tourist who lost a wallet containing cash, credit cards, and ID documents at a Dubai mall had it returned in hours. Officers used CCTV and the force’s AI-powered system to locate and return it before the tourist’s departure.
In July 2025, a Saudi visitor misplaced a luxury watch at a hotel. The Tourist Police Department collaborated with hotel security and used tracking tools to recover the item within a day. The thankful owner later praised the force’s dedication in a widely shared post on X.
