Brigadier Jumaa Bin Suwaidan, Acting Director of the General Department of Traffic, warned that collisions, leaks, or unsafe storage could cause disastrous fires or explosions.

The vehicle has been confiscated, and the driver has been handed over to authorities for legal proceedings. Dubai Police emphasized that transporting hazardous materials without permission is a criminal act with severe repercussions.

Bin Suwaidan highlighted that traffic campaigns and road surveillance are being ramped up to identify and prevent dangerous practices. “We are dedicated to monitoring actions that jeopardize road safety and community welfare,” he stated.

The police urged residents to assist their efforts by reporting unsafe activities through the “We Are All Police” service at 901 or via the Dubai Police smart app.

“Community awareness and proactive participation are crucial to enhancing security and safety on the emirate’s roads,” Bin Suwaidan added.
