A Dubai resident showcased the effectiveness of the city’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) through a social media post detailing the swift resolution of an issue he reported.
On October 9, photographer Raihan Hamid contacted the RTA via Instagram to alert them about a road bump in Al Nahda. He provided photos and explained, “There is a significant and deep bump on the road in Al Nahda 1, Dubai. It’s quite severe and could cause damage to vehicles.”
The RTA responded promptly, requesting Hamid’s details and the precise location of the issue. By the next day, Hamid was informed that his complaint was logged and forwarded to the relevant department.

On October 20, Hamid shared a photo showing the repaired road bump.
“This is Dubai. A city that listens, acts, and truly cares. I reported a road issue in Al Nahda, and within just 11 days, RTA fixed it. That’s not just efficiency; that’s responsibility in action. Proud to call this city home,” Hamid expressed on Instagram.

Incidentally, Dubai RTA is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
