This was announced on the sidelines of the Global Atomic Week events, today, Saturday, in the Russian capital, Moscow. Al-Subki confirmed that cooperation with Russia supports the comprehensive health insurance project in its second phase and aims to localize Russian technology in nuclear medicine and radiotherapy, and the local manufacturing of smart mobile clinics in cooperation with the Arab Organization for Industrialization. Additionally, it involves transferring expertise in biotechnology, enhancing telemedicine, and building medical decision support algorithms with artificial intelligence, according to a statement from the Egyptian General Authority for Healthcare on social media.
In turn, the First Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry of Russia, Vasily Viktorovich Shpak, emphasized the depth of relations between the two countries, expressing his country’s interest in localizing Russian medical industries in Egypt. He affirmed Egypt’s ability to transfer knowledge and utilize its strategic location to access African and Middle Eastern markets.
A statement by the authority quoted the Egyptian ambassador to Russia, saying that the joint successes between Egypt and Russia in the field of energy and peaceful nuclear technology pave the way for new strategic cooperation in the healthcare sector, as it is one of the vital areas of mutual interest between the two countries.
It is noteworthy that the Egyptian General Authority for Healthcare announced earlier this month that Egypt intends to establish an integrated international center for diagnosing and treating tumors using nuclear medicine and radiotherapy in cooperation with Russia.
The Global Atomic Week Forum is being held in Moscow from September 25 to September 28, dedicated to nuclear energy and related sectors, marking the 80th anniversary of the Russian nuclear industry.
