Celebrating 30 years of service, Dubai Taxi Company PJSC (DTC) looks back on a journey marked by steady progress, excellence in service, and an innovative take on mobility. Since its founding in 1994 and launching operations in 1995 with a modest fleet of 221 vehicles, DTC has grown to become the largest taxi service provider in Dubai, commanding around 45% of the market share with over 10,000 vehicles.
Driven by its vision of being the “Preferred mobility choice for everyone,” DTC has established a robust trust with the public. Its mission focuses on providing safe, smart, and sustainable mobility services, catering to the varied needs of communities by emphasizing convenience, connectivity, and digital innovation. DTC operates through four main business lines: traditional taxis, chauffeur-driven limousines, public and school buses, and bike-based last-mile deliveries. This diverse strategy aligns with its 2025–2029 corporate plan, aiming for geographic expansion within the UAE and beyond, while boosting efficiency across all sectors.

Central to DTC’s ethos are its core values: customer satisfaction, innovation, reliability, and sustainability. These principles guide strategic choices and everyday functions, from adopting eco-friendly vehicles to enhancing service quality through technology.
The transformation into a public joint-stock company under Law No. (21) of 2023 has empowered DTC with greater financial and administrative freedom, setting the stage for future growth.
As DTC reflects on its first 30 years, it is poised to continue leading in mobility and playing a significant role in Dubai’s vision for smart and sustainable transportation.
