Early Brain Tumor Symptoms Often Ignored

According to a study published by ‘Science Alert,’ experiments with brain tumor patients revealed that they often ignore early symptoms, believing them to be related to fatigue or daily stress, which delays diagnosis and treatment. Doctors warn that delaying tumor detection increases treatment complexities, especially since its symptoms may resemble common conditions like chronic headaches or anxiety.

1- Difficulty in finding words: Some patients struggle with pronouncing certain words or forming coherent sentences. This may seem minor, but its persistence requires medical examination.

2- Brain fog: Difficulty in concentration, slow thinking, or unexplained issues may be attributed to stress but could indicate a deeper neurological problem if recurring.

3- Numbness or tingling in the body: Feeling numbness or tingling in half of the face, the tongue, or one limb may result from pressure on brain areas responsible for sensation.

4- Visual disturbances: Double vision or distorted shapes may be an early sign of a tumor affecting vision centers, especially if accompanied by headaches or dizziness.

5- Changes in writing: Disrupted hand-eye coordination may lead to suddenly uneven or illegible handwriting, after being normal before.

6- Changes in mood or behavior: Shifts like excessive irritability, apathy, or loss of motivation might be interpreted as psychological exhaustion but could be linked to a brain tumor.

7- Unusual headaches: Daily persistence, changes in intensity or timing, or resistance to painkillers could be a sign requiring examination.

Experts emphasize the importance of paying attention to these signs and consulting a doctor when they recur to ensure early diagnosis and improve treatment chances.
