Ibn Salman appreciated Sisi for “the pivotal role that Egypt plays in consolidating security, stability, and development at the regional level, based on its historical weight and strategic position.” During their talks, the two leaders discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, in addition to discussing regional and international issues of common interest.

An agreement was reached to launch more partnerships in the fields of industrial integration, localization of technological industries, transportation, new and renewable energy, and urban development, according to the Egyptian presidency.

The two sides affirmed the depth of the historical relations that bind the two countries, with a view to further economic and trade cooperation. They agreed to expedite the inauguration of the Egyptian-Saudi Supreme Coordination Council.

The leaders also discussed the latest developments regarding the Palestinian issue. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi reviewed Egypt’s efforts to cease fire in Gaza, while affirming Egypt’s support for Saudi initiatives concerning the Palestinian issue.

Sisi also confirmed Egypt’s support for Saudi initiatives on the Palestinian issue, the latest being the outcomes of the “Two-State Solution” conference. The two sides emphasized the necessity of delivering humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip without obstacles and rejected any attempts to displace Palestinians or reinstate Israeli military occupation of the area.
