Actor Saiyami Kher has teamed up with Bollywood icons Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan in Priyadarshan’s new movie Haiwaan. Filming has commenced in Kochi.
Expressing her enthusiasm about the venture, Saiyami said: “Stepping onto the Haiwaan set has been an incredibly moving experience. I recall being a young girl, awestruck in a theater, watching Akshay sir redefine action films, or laughing endlessly at Saif sir’s impeccable comedic timing in movies that were integral to my childhood. Never did I imagine I’d be on a set with these legends who ignited my passion for cinema.”
“It’s surreal to look around and see the same faces I once admired as an audience member, now sharing the screen with me. And then there’s Priyan sir. More than just a director, he’s a storyteller who has delivered some of cinema’s most iconic films. Being guided by his vision is a privilege I’ll cherish. His films played a huge role in my love for movies, and being on his set now feels like coming full circle. Although we’ve just started filming, I’m taking it all in: the excitement, the nerves, the gratitude. My heart is full, and I feel incredibly blessed to be part of a film that already feels so special,” Saiyami shared.
Recently, Akshay shared a behind-the-scenes video on Instagram from the set.
Wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with “Saint”, he glanced at Saif and quipped, “I know this devil very well,” playfully teasing his co-star and hinting at their fun rapport.
Alongside the video, Akshay captioned: “We’re all a bit mischievous. Some appear saints on the outside, some are ‘Haiwaan’ inside. :)) Kicking off #Haiwaan today with my favorite director, @priyadarshan.official. Thrilled to work with Saif after nearly 18 years. Let’s unleash the haiwaniyat!”
Saif and Akshay last appeared together in 2008’s Tashan.
