Egypt Invites World Leaders to Museum Opening

The Egyptian Mostafa Madbouly previously stated that Cairo has sent invitations to senior officials and prominent figures from various countries worldwide to attend this celebration, noting that they are continuously monitoring this matter.

In December 2024, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi conducted a European tour that included Denmark, Norway, and Ireland, featuring official invitations to European leaders to attend the event, including King Frederick X of Norway and King Harald V, King of Norway.

Yesterday, Sunday, social media users shared the official invitation to attend the opening ceremony of the Egyptian Museum, after it was sent by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands.

Social media users praised the beauty of the design and the stunning details it contained, with some describing it as a “work of art.” Egyptian media reported that it is a box containing a model designed in the style of the Grand Egyptian Museum, which glows with a dim light symbolizing the charm of ancient Egypt.

The box also contains an invitation made of papyrus paper discovered by ancient Egyptians, mounted on the base of the model. The invitation also featured other designs in blue with golden and silver pharaonic engravings.

Egypt began a temporary closure of the Grand Egyptian Museum since October 15 to complete technical preparations inside its halls in anticipation of its official opening scheduled for November 1. The opening will last for three days of celebration, and the museum will open to visitors starting November 4.
