During a meeting attended by Sputnik, Rzeig added that ‘African Inter-Trade: From Vision to Reality towards Doubling Trade Exchanges by 2030’ represents an opportunity to exchange visions and deepen consultations among decision-makers and partners across the continent.
Rzeig explained that ‘this fourth edition of the exhibition is an opportunity to enhance African trade exchanges by bringing together economic actors from various countries on the continent and facilitating direct meetings among them to make deals and investments that open up new horizons.’
He continued, saying that this event truly represents an economic bridge connecting various African markets and contributes to diversifying our trade partners, especially with the start of trade exchanges within the African Continental Free Trade Area.
He added, ‘We look forward through this organization to realizing our continent’s ambitions in building a unified market to achieve economic integration and enhance Africa’s position in the global economy.’
Rzeig emphasized that everyone is required today more than ever to intensify efforts to enhance African inter-trade of goods and services and to support African value chains.
He continued that doubling African inter-trade is not just an economic option, but a strategic bet aimed at ensuring the continent’s economic sovereignty, liberating it from dependence on external markets, creating new job opportunities for youth, empowering women, safeguarding our economies from external shocks, and achieving sustainable development.
