Equiti, a renowned fintech brand based in Dubai, has joined forces with Dubai’s pioneering home sports franchise, Dubai Basketball. Equiti is now the team’s Founding Partner and Official Digital Wealth Partner for the upcoming three seasons.
As part of this collaboration, Equiti’s branding will be prominently displayed on team jerseys and courtside at the Coca-Cola Arena, the home venue for Dubai Basketball’s matches. Additionally, Equiti will engage with fans via the team’s digital media channels.
Since their 2024 debut, Dubai Basketball has been making headlines by dominating the ABA League and becoming the first regional club to participate in the EuroLeague.
To mark this new partnership, a retro-futuristic half-court was launched on Wednesday at the Ritz-Carlton, Jumeirah Beach, attracting star players Davis Bertans and Nate Mason, along with eager fans anticipating the signing event.
Fans and invited VIPs enjoyed a talent showcase on the striking half-court, influenced by Equiti’s vibrant visual style. Embodying the “Aim higher” spirit, Power Forward Davis Bertans and Guard Nate Mason dazzled the crowd with their sharpshooting and signature moves.
The excitement ramped up as spectators participated in the thrilling ‘30-Second Basket Challenge,’ competing for exclusive prizes awarded to top scorers.
Dubai Basketball had an impressive inaugural ABA League season, reaching the semifinals against the reigning champions. Earlier this year, they made history as the first regional club in the EuroLeague. This achievement is part of a five-year wild-card deal starting from the 2025/26 season, with Dubai Basketball’s EuroLeague debut set for September 30 against Partizan at the Coca-Cola Arena.
“Our partnership with Equiti pushes the limits of what we can offer our fans. By teaming up with such a successful local brand, we truly bring the world to Dubai. Together with Equiti, we aim to create memorable moments that encapsulate Dubai’s energy, bringing basketball to the city and showing our fans that they are central to everything we do,” stated Nick Oakley, Co-CEO of Dubai Basketball.
