On Sunday, the Israeli military announced it had initiated new strikes targeting Hamas in southern Gaza.
“In retaliation for today’s clear breach of the ceasefire agreement, the IDF (military) has commenced a series of attacks on Hamas terror sites in the southern Gaza Strip,” stated the military.
A military official mentioned that earlier on Sunday, at least three incidents occurred where Hamas fired at Israeli troops beyond the “yellow line,” an area from which Israeli forces had withdrawn under the ceasefire agreement.
