He explained that the execution of the sentence took place in Qom prison last Saturday, following the Supreme Court’s ratification and the rejection of the clemency request. Hojatoleslam Kazem Mousavi stated that the accused began his espionage activities for Israeli intelligence agencies in 2023 and was arrested in the same year, according to Iran’s Mehr News Agency.
He added that investigations revealed his direct connections with a Mossad officer, as he admitted to sending confidential information electronically to Israel. The sentence was issued based on Article Six of the Anti-Hostility Law against the Zionist entity.
Kazem Mousavi noted that the spy pursued personal and professional motives to connect and cooperate with Mossad elements, before Iranian intelligence agencies successfully uncovered his activities and prevented the leakage of sensitive information.
In his closing remarks, the head of the judiciary in Qom emphasized that public vigilance and collaboration with security agencies are fundamental to protecting society’s security, urging citizens to report any suspicious activity through official secure channels.
