Fidan stated at the Doha Forum in Qatar: “We discussed with both the Russian and Ukrainian sides Kyiv’s attacks on commercial ships in the Black Sea. We met with the Ukrainian ambassador to Ankara, and I also discussed this issue with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha.”
In response to a question from Sputnik on the sidelines of the Doha Forum about whether he plans to go to Russia or meet Lavrov anytime soon, Fidan said: “I want to, but there are no specific plans yet.”
Moscow announced that the attacks on Russian ships in the Black Sea aim to undermine the resolution of the Ukrainian crisis and harm navigation security.
