The newspaper “Yedioth Ahronoth” reported that the crisis began when 30 soldiers experienced severe symptoms including diarrhea and vomiting, prompting officials to temporarily close the base’s kitchen and provide alternative food.
However, the crisis worsened after about 100 soldiers were transferred to the “Hamgshiyot” base, where they also exhibited similar food poisoning symptoms.
This incident comes amid several reports over the past month revealing poor health conditions in other military bases, including the “Sayer” base near Eilat and the “Ein Yahav” camp in the Arava Valley.
The Israeli army confirmed at the time that these incidents were “isolated incidents.”
