The Palestinian news agency ‘WAFA’ reported, citing a source, that ‘the only entity authorized to manage the Gaza Strip is the State of Palestine, represented by its government or its agreed-upon administrative committee headed by a government minister.’ The Palestinian presidential source emphasized that ‘any engagement otherwise is considered a departure from the national line and aligns with what the occupation wants, which is to separate the Gaza Strip from the West Bank and displace its residents,’ affirming that ‘the Gaza Strip is an integral part of Palestinian land.’
It is noted that the humanitarian and food crisis continues amid the blockade and shortage of food and medical supplies, where severe famine intersects with the war waged by Israel since October 7, 2023.
From October 7, 2023, until the current August, the war on Gaza has resulted in the death of more than 61,000 Palestinians and about 151,000 injured, according to the Ministry of Health data.
