Ibrahim stated in an interview with ‘Sputnik’ radio: ‘The blockade imposed by Israel and the prevention of all humanitarian aid from entering the Gaza Strip has had a very significant impact.’ He revealed that the aid entering is limited in quantity and amounts to less than 1%, where previously 400 to 500 trucks entered daily, while the sector needs over 600 trucks.

Regarding the health situation in the sector, Ibrahim described it as ‘very bad,’ explaining that ‘Israel destroyed the largest hospital in the Gaza Strip, Al-Shifa Hospital, which is now completely out of service.’

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al-Dameer Association for Human Rights in Gaza stated: ‘There were three hospitals – the Indonesian Hospital, Kamal Adwan Hospital, and another military medical services hospital, all of which are now out of service.’

Ibrahim revealed that ‘in the south or the center, only the Martyrs of Al-Aqsa Hospital remains operational, and there is Nasser Hospital, but it is not functioning, in addition to the destruction of the European Gaza Hospital in the southeast of Khan Younis city. This hospital was one of the largest serving the Rafah and Khan Younis governorates and has now been destroyed.’

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al-Dameer Association for Human Rights in Gaza emphasized that ‘the health situation is catastrophic, in addition to the absence of medical supplies,’ noting that ‘there are approximately twenty thousand injured and sick people in need of travel for treatment abroad, yet Israel works to prevent them.’

He also revealed that ‘there are about 600,000 to 700,000 Palestinians in the central area,’ affirming that ‘the situation is catastrophic, hunger is deadly, and there is no hope for any near-term relief.’
